After re-inventing the wheel every year, a decision was made in 2010 that it was time to bundle experience and resources for future conferences. The 2011 team promised to not only organize their conference but also set up a Foundation that can take the legal and financial responsibility for future EuroBSDcon conferences.
The Foundation, which was officially created on December 28, 2011, helped the 2012 organizers with:
- Taking financial responsibility
- Assist in defining the budget and entry fees for the conference
- Contact international sponsors, handle sponsor paperwork
- Send invitation letters required to obtain visa for Poland
- Handle registrations and payments
- Provide experience with organizing the conference
